Historic Bali Jatra kicks off in Cuttack Today

ONI Bureau:  Odisha’s largest trade fair ‘Bali Jatra’ festival began at Bali Jatra Ground on the banks of Mahanandi River in Cuttack today.

Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera inaugurated the festival on the occasion of Kartik Purnima today. This year, the fair will continue for 10 days.

Reportedly, the festival is being organised on a land spreading over 44 acres and over 1000 stalls have been alloted to traders.

All arrangements have been made as per the National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines. As per the NGT guidelines polythene and plastic cups have been banned at the fair.
