“Has the appointment been done because of the fear of CNG case being probed by the ACB?” he asked. Joint Commissioner M.K. Meena replaced S.S. Yadav as the new head of the anti-graft wing, with Jung also transferring seven inspectors to the department.
The move comes days after the Aam Aadmi Party government inducted Bihar Police officials in the ACB. Jung had rejected the appointments, saying the wing came under him.
Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat told IANS: “The government has decided to depute a joint commissioner and seven inspectors in Delhi government’s anti-corruption branch to augment its resources in fighting corruption.” He said more officers will be posted to the ACB in future as per requirement.
The development comes even as the AAP government and Jung are embroiled in a battle over a host of issues related to the national capital.
