Bihar Legislative Council Polls: BJP+ wins 14 out of 24 Seats

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has scored big in Bihar Legislative Council Polls, as it won 13 out of 24 seats that went to polls. The BJP victory came as a big setback to the grand alliance of JD(U), RJD and Congress ahead of Assembly polls to be held later this year.

The BJP won 13 seats, while its ally LJP won one seat. So, NDA won 14 out of 24 seats.  JD(U) managed to win only 5 seats, followed by RJD (3) and Congress (1).

An independent candidate Ritlal Yadav, who is lodged in Beur jail, has won the Patna seat. He is a hardcore criminal.
