Modi and Obama to speak on ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Together

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Barak Obama will share their thoughts together at a radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, during Obama’s visit to India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been addressing the nation every month through the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ since October last year. The radio programme for January month will be special since Obama is scheduled to join Modi, to be aired on January 27.

It is noteworthy that, during Modi’s visit to US in September 2014, for the first time, Naredra Modi and Barak Obama jointly penned an editorial in the Washington Post. Modi confirmed about the radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with Obama through his Twitter account.

He tweeted “I am eagerly looking forward to the special ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme with President @BarackObama, which will be aired on 27th January.” He also appealed people to put their questions to him and those would be answered in the radio programme.

US President is expected to arrive in New Delhi on January 25 to attend Republic Day Parade as the chief guest on January 26. He is scheduled to hold many rounds of dialogue with political and corporate leaders in New Delhi. Before leaving to US, Obama will visit Taj Mahal in Agra, he missed to visit it during his last visit to India.
