CRPF Jawans launch Swachh Rayagada Drive

Rayagada, Oct : After a short stint of romanticism in Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, the initiatives taken up by several state and non-state actors died down in Rayagada; but CRPF’s 4^th Battalion in Rayagada sustained the noble work in cleaning different parts of Rayagada town. This has encouraged other govt departments and civil society bodies who are now planning to continue this campaign.

Recently Swachh Rayagada initiative organised under the leadership Commandant 4^th Bn CRPF Shri. Manoj Kumar Sharma at Bus stand, District hospital and Majhi Ghariani Temple.

Shri Jagannath Mohanty, District Collector, Rayagada, Shri Manoj Kumar Sicon, Second-in-Command, Shri Chandam Bobby Singh, Deputy Commandant, Shri Niranjan Sahoo Deputy Commandant, Shri Suryamani Patjoshi, Executive Officer Municipality, Md Ishak Madina, Nizarat Officer, Shri T.R.Mishra, Public Relation Officer, CRPF and all jawans of 4^th Bn CRPF were involved in this programme..

Similarly eleven Jawans of 4 Bn CRPF donated blood in a Blood Donation programme which was organised by Lions club, Rayagada. Interface with the local community and working for noble causes like sanitation and blood donation have brought this para-military force closer to the publicat large. This has proved that the force is not only deployed to contain extremism in the region but also shoulder several social responsibilities.
