ETV Odia confers ‘Eduquest Excellence Awards 2015’ in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sep 18: Leading Odia news channel, ETV Odia conferred ‘Eduquest Excellence Awards 2015’ to various dignitaries of Odisha here today followed by panel discussions. The channel conferred awards in 14 categories with three lifetime achievement awards in education field. The channel has also organized public voting through sms and common voting to vote the nominated person for the award.

The function has been inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Kumar Das Burma Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Skill Development & Technical Education and Prof. Dr. Sachidananda Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Odisha and Prof. Manoj Kar, Vice Chancellor, Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT).

Shri Devi Prasad Mishra, Hon’ble Minister, Industries and School & Mass Education and Shri Akash Dasnayak, Hon’ble MLA were present as Guest of Honor in this Award ceremony and awarded to different categories in education.

There were two panel discussion on ‘Teacher Excellence-Avenues and Challenges’ and ‘Role and Importance of Research in Higher Education’ where eminent personalities of state participated.

Odisha has become a special attraction in education, research, higher education, technology in all over the India. After establishment of national institutes now students from outside Odisha are interested to pursue their education here.

ETV News Odia has organized an education summit on issues of Indian education industry and acknowledged leading institutions, educationists, entrepreneurs, thinkers and pathfinders and their outstanding contribution to the field. ETV News Head Nilambar Rath said that bringing educationalists and entrepreneurs on one stage will help to change in education system.

Lifetime achievement awards were given to Prof. Dr. Swadhin Pattanayak, eminent Mathematician and founder director of Institute of Mathematics and Application (IMA), Prof. Dr. Sanghamitra Mohanty, eminent Computer Scientist, former vice chancellor of North Odisha University and Prof. Dr. Sunil Kanta Behera, eminent media educationalist.

Etv Odia Channel was established before 15 year as the first private satellite Television and presented news of Odisha in its own capability. Now it has become a 24 hour news channel. Its aim is for development of Odisha and to fulfill all needs quickly as a news channel.
