As per the MoU, Mayo has agreed to pay KIIT University a multi-year grant for the purpose of development of educational infrastructure and completion of other support activities for five years. It is recognition to KIIT’s excellence in science and education. This is the first time Mayo Clinic has signed MoU with any Indian university.
In a related development, KIIT University also entered into agreement with the University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy. Dr. Sasmita Samanta, on behalf of KIIT, and Prof. Maria Cristina Messa, on behalf of University of Milano-Bicocca, signed the MoU. As per the agreement, the two universities would promote and strengthen scientific and academic cooperation by means of exchanging professors, researchers, students and staff. They would also undertake joint research activities and joint research doctoral theses.
