CM Naveen Patnaik launches Biju Patnaik Himalaya Abhiyan – 2016

To mark the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of former CM and legendary statesman Biju Patnaik, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated the Biju Patnaik Himalaya Abhiyan – 2016 at the State Secretariat.

As part of the Biju Patnaik Himalaya Abhiyan, 15 Odia mountaineers will start climbing 20,000-feet Rudugera peak in Uttarakhand from September 20. Their journey will conclude on October 5.

A total of nine boys and six girls will participate in the event.
