E Palanisamy takes oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister

The political crisis within Tamil Nadu’s ruling AIADMK ended on Thursday as AIADMK leader and Sasikala loyalist Edappadi K. Palanisamy took oath as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

A 31-member Cabinet is also being administered oath along with Palanisamy.

Governor C Vidyasagar Rao has given Palanisamy 15 days to prove his majority in the Assembly.

It is to be noted that on Wednesday, Palanisamy had met the Governor and submitted a list of 124 MLAs supporting him in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly.
