Salman Khan draws Flak for Tweets in favour of Yakub Memon

Bollywood Actor Salman Khan, who is celebrating the success of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, has come under severe criticism for his series of tweets last night in support of 1993 Mumbai blasts accused Yakub Memon. Salman called Yakub “innocent” and tweeted that the latter should not be hanged because of the crime committed by his brother Tiger Memon.

After a huge uproar over Salman Khan’s tweets, his father Salim Khan sought to clarify on this issue. “Salman’s statement and comments are insignificant and meaningless, as he is ignorant of the subject. They should be ignored. His tweets are wrong,” said Salim. Public Prosecutor in Mumbai Blasts case, Ujjwal Nikam warned Salman of legal action if he does not withdraw his tweets or apologise. He termed it as contempt of court.
