Setting a platform for the bitter showdown with the government, Congress President Sonia Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying “Parliamentary majority does not give anyone a license to escape accountability”. “The PM has maintained a deafening silence over the issue of resignations of Sushma Swaraj, Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Vasundhara Raje Scindia”, she added.
“The ‘Mann Ki Baat’ champion appears to escape into a ‘Maun Vrat’ whenever there is a scandal involving his colleagues. PM is involved in marketing strategies and not focusing on work. We won’t allow them to bulldoze the opposition and run the country with an iron hand,” she thundered.
