US welcomes India’s imminent entry to NSG, MTCR

In a joint statement issued after the major bilateral summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Barack Obama, United States President Barack Obama on Tuesday re-affirmed that India is ready for Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) and the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) membership.

The US also reaffirmed its support for India’s early membership of the Australia Group and Wasseanaar Arrangement. India and the US agreed on Tuesday to begin work on building six nuclear reactors in India.

Political leaders and media personalities hail PM Modi’s diplomacy and call it as a big victory for India, as by entering the MTCR, India managed to checkmate China and isolate Pakistan further.
