ONI Bureau: On the Day 4 of his India visit, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu took Gujarat by storm when he held a 8-km long roadshow in Ahmedabad under a heavy security blanket.
Thousands of people lined up to greet the leaders, who have joined hands to wipe out terrorism from their soils. Netanyahu was accompanied by wife Sara Netanyahu.
Around 50 stages were erected on the roadside to showcase performances by troupes of different states to welcome the guests during the roadshow.
After the roadshow, Modi and Netanyahu visited Mahatma Gandhi’s Sabrmati Ashram. Netanyahu and his wife tried their hands at Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘spinning wheel’ or ‘Charkha’.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, who had also visited the Taj Mahal yesterday, is the third global leader whom Modi is hosting in his home state of Gujarat. The other two were Chinese President Chinese President Xi Jinping (2014) and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe (2017).
