ONI Bureau: The Reserve Bank of India will shortly release the new Rs 100 currency note, RBI revealed today.
The dimension of the lavender coloured banknote is 66 mm × 142 mm. It has the motif of ‘Rani ki vav’ – a stepwell located on the banks of Saraswati river in Gujarat’s Patan.
However, all Rs 100 banknotes issued earlier will also continue to be legal tender, the Central Bank said.
