17 Girls From Odisha Rescued In Andhra Pradesh

In a search operation carried by the GRP and RPF with the help of Childline officials, 17 girls from Odisha were rescued from the Bhubaneswar-Mumbai CSTM Konark Express at Rajahmundry railway station in Andhra Pradesh.
The rescued girls belong to Keonjhar, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Gajapati districts in Odisha and were allegedly being trafficked to Mumbai on false promises of employment.

A Police official informed that the search operation was carried after a passenger on boarding the train got suspicious and alerted them of the situation.
