2 wanted Women Maoists surrender in Malkangiri

In a major setback to Maoists insurgency in the Malkangiri district, two female Naxals both were carrying Rs 4 lakh cash award on their head, surrendered before Malkangiri Police on Thursday.

The two women Maoist cadres were members of Kalimela area committee of the banned outfit.

Both were involved in many Maoist activities in Malkangiri and other parts of Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

Malkangiri SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra welcomed them as they left the ultra group and join the mainstream of the society.
