ONI Bureau: The Odisha Government said it is prepared to face possible floods due to heavy downpour in eight districts following very severe cyclonic storm Titli.
Flood situation expected in various rivers including Jalaka, Rushikulya and Bansadhara river system as the water level crossed the danger mark on Thursday.
While, water-level in Jalaka river crossed danger mark at Mathani of Basta block in Balasore and now flows at 5.65 mts; Rushikulya river also touched danger mark at Aska.
Similarly, there may be flooding in the Vansadhara river as Gajapati and Rayagada districts received severe rainfall due to the cyclonic storm.
As per report, as many as 6 persons of a family go missing after their house gets swept away by flood waters of Adangi river at Bhutapankal village in Bhanjanagar, Ganjam; all the missing persons had taken shelter on the roof of their house when the mishap occurred.
