Anganwadi Worker in Basudeipur stripped, beaten by Villagers

In a shocking news, an anganwadi worker Annapurna Pradhan (50), stripped, naked and thrashed by the villagers following death of a four-year-old boy, Chandan Jena, son of Laxmidhar Jena, who had come to the local Anganwadi centre at Basudeipur village under Soro Police Station in Balasore district.

The Police and the local Tehsildar rescued the worker and took her to the hospital.

The child’s family would get compensation of Rs 4 lakh from the State government.
