ONI Bureau: Union Petroleum and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday inaugurated the Bhubaneswar New Railway Station, third Foot Over Bridge (FOB) and various infrastructures of different railway stations at Bhubaneswar Railway Station on Saturday.
The new station is situated at Baranga, around 14km away from the existing main station at Master Canteen in Bhubaneswar.
Pradhan also flagged off the Bhubaneswar-Puri Special MEMU Train from Bhubaneswar New Station.
MEMU shed at Khurda Road Station, new foot over bridge at Bhubaneswar station and PRS Counter at Bagala Dharmashala, Puri were also inaugurated today through video conferencing.
Three passenger trains — Howrah-Puri-Santragachhi, Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela and Cuttack-Brahmapur-Cuttack MEMU at Bhubaneswar New Station with effect from July 7 on an experimental basis for a period of six months.
