BJD appoints Pratap Keshari Deb as State Returning Officer

Bhubaneswar, Sep 23: Pratap Keshari Deb has been unanimously elected as State Returning Officer of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) party for elections at the executive body meeting on Wednesday.  Deb is the former MLA of Aul assembly constituency and Chairman of Odisha State Housing Board.

The executive body meeting was chaired by BJP Chief Naveen Patnaik at party headquarters here. The party leaders at the meeting discussed about the party’s poll manifesto, promises and ‘Jan Sampark Padyatra’ that the party will organize from October 2.

The meet also discussed 9 proposals, including propagation and growth of Odia language and other promises made by the party in 2014 poll manifesto.
