“It’s must for both centre and state to work in an coordinated manner for the benefits of the people. The state government has set a wrong precedent here. The experienced doctors from the centre, should have been given ample opportunities to work with the staff at Sishu Bhawan,” he said.
Odisha Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak had earlier confirmed the Odisha government’s decision, saying the state has enough experienced and expert doctors to handle the crisis. The state government has already deployed 7 Senior Resident Doctors at Sishu Bhawan.
Mr. Nayak has asked the centre to provide other assistance and support that are required to improve the facilities and infrastructure at Sishu Bhawan and other hospitals in the state.
