Daughter-in-law lodges a Harassment Case against Odisha MLA

Bhubaneswar, March 01: The eldest daughter-in-law of independent MLA from Champua constituency in Odisha Sanatan Mahakuda lodged a harassment case at Mahila Police Station of the capital city on Tuesday against the legislator and other family members including husband Pankanj and brother-in-law Dinabandhu Barik.

In her FIR, the complainant Kavita Mahakuda stated that she was married to the son of the MLA, Pankaj Mahakuda as per the traditional Hindu rituals. The couple has a one year – old daughter, she added.

However, she alleged that Sanatan Mahakuda has been harassing her and not allowing her to meet her husband. She also complained that she has no idea regarding the whereabouts of her husband since August last year.
