DMET blames Sishu Bhawan Management, Superintendent Shunted

The DMET report has blamed the hospital management and administration for the death of infants. At the same time, the critical condition of the infants has been attributed to the mortality. However, the report ruled out clinical negligence in this case.

The government has transferred Sishu Bhawan Superintendent Niranjan Mohnaty to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur with immediate effect. He will be replaced by Dr. Saroj Satapathy.

According to the report submitted by Director Medical Education & Training (DMET), 80% of the infants are brought to Sishu Bhawan with critical ailments and most of them come from distant places.
