Farmers gherao offices of 4 District Collectors in Odisha

Angered by the anti-dairy farm policies of the state government, large numbers of dairy farmers and Navnirman Krushak Sangathan locked up the offices of the District Collectors in four districts. Agitating farmers poured litres of milk on roads.

Demanding pension and proper facilities, hundreds of farmers gheraoed collector office in Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur districts.

They have been demanding  to pay at least Rs. 1,000 per month as social security allowance to all farmers. Due to drought situation in the state farmers have forced to give up farming and working a labor.
