Govt soon to decide on Modalities for merging Plus II with School Education

The School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra announced that a meeting will be held by the Higher Education Department and Mass Education Departments in June first week to plan the modalities regarding separation of Plus II colleges.

Minister Mishra stated that, a Higher Secondary Education Directorate will be formed under the Mass Education Department to take care of junior colleges and it will be located at the State Resource Centre of the Mass Education Department.

Notably, Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahi said that the teaching process, conduct of examinations will be in CBSE pattern to bring it in line with national standards.
