ONI Bureau: The Ratna Bhandar inspection in Jagannath temple concluded amidst tight security today. The team members made a very quick inspection inside the Ratna Bhandar (treasure trove).
As per report, the team examined two rooms of outer Ratna Bhandar where they found crack on the wall and roof. They did not enter the inner side of Ratna Bhandar. The inner gate of Ratna Bhandar was locked reportedly.
Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi, part of the 17-member team, was not allowed to enter the Ratna Bhandar as he did not wear cotton gamuccha. Meanwhile, the core committee member GC Mitra suffered minor injury while entering into the Ratna Bhandar.
It is to be noted that the treasury of the 12th-century Lord Jagannath Temple has opened for inspection after a long 34 years. It was last inspected in 1984.
