Over 3600 JEE aspirants appeared in the exam in Odisha on Tuesday. The exam which started today will continue till September 6.
A total of over 38,000 students are appearing for JEE exam in Odisha this year. The test is being in 26 centres in 7 towns – Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela, Dhenkanal and Sambalpur.
The exam is being held in two shifts – from 9am to 12 pm and 3pm to 6pm.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the administration has put into place strict social distancing protocols.
Earlier, the Odisha Government had announced that it would provide free transport and accommodation to students appearing for the test.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had also spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to postpone the exams due to the pandemic. He had also written a letter to the Union Education Minister in this regard.
