Kandhamal Killings: Congress launches Kandhamal Adhikar Yatra

The Congress party, the main opposition political party of Odisha, has launched a five-day Kandhamal Adhikar Yatra from today to protest the lack of action of the state government aftermath of the death of of five innocent tribals including a toddler in police firing near Gumudumaha village of kandhamal district on July 8.

The Party began the Kandhamal Adhikar Yatra after hoisting the party flag at Gumudumaha and a public meeting would be held at Kurtamgarh in this regard.

The activists will halt at Tumudibandha at night and resume the yatra again on Wednesday. Several key leaders of the party have joined the march which will end at Baliguda on August 13.
