ONI Bureau: Heavy rainfall likely to lash over various regions in Odisha till December 13 due to low pressure over Bay of Bengal, the local Meteorological Department predicted.
The low pressure is likely to intensify into a depression in 12 hours, Met predicted.
Rain and thunder shower is predicted at many places over South Odisha from December 7 and some districts in northen and costal region from December 8 to 10. Rainfall will continue in some parts of the state till December 13, Met predicted.
In this regard, Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday chaired an urgent video conferencing with all the District Collectors to provide adequate preventive measures to save further loss to the farmers.
The farmers will be requested to shift their harvested paddy from the fields to their homes soon, the Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi informed.
