Odisha asks for Army Recruitment Office at Koraput and Brigade HQ at Balasore

With the initiatives of Govt of Odisha in Home department, the liaison conference between civil and army administration has been held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sri Aditya Prasad Padhi. Around seven senior Army officers led by Major General DVS Rana participated in the conference from military side. Odisha government urged to Indian Army in this regard.

Padhi raised the need for establishment of Army Recruitment Office at Koraput, establishment of Army Brigade Head Quarters at Amarda Road in Balasore district and recruitment of more youths from southern Odisha. Sri Padhi also requested to consider relaxation of selection norms for tribal youths.

Sri Tripathy further added that the district administration would provide all support for organization of such rallies and we target to recruit around 1300 youths during the current calendar year.
