Odisha Chief Minister felicitates Karate Players in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Oct 8: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated four Karate players including two girls at State Secretariat here on Wednesday. The four players representing Odisha brought laurels by winning four medals including a gold medal at Common Wealth Karate Championship recently concluded in Delhi.

Four players from Odisha had participated in the Common Wealth Karate Championship concluded on September 20 at Talakotra Indoor Stadium in Delhi. One of the players won gold medal in 21 year category, while three other won silver and two bronze medals in 16-17 years women category and 13-14 year category respectively. During the felicitation programme, the players urged the chief minister to set up a sports hostel here.
