Odisha CM goofs up, tweets RIP message to Manimala Devi

Veteran Odia actress Manimala Devi admitted to a Hospital at Bhubaneswar and battling to life. The 90-year-old eminent actress is now in  ICU, family sources said.

But, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik believed some TV reports and condoled her “death”. He later deleted the tweet. The PRO to CM confirmed that it was a mistake.

She was honored with “Jayadev Puraskar”- the State’s highest cine award in the year 2000.

Manimala Devi acted in around 40 films. Nishiddha Swapna, Kichi Smruti Kichi Anubhuti and Andha Diganta are some of her famous movies.
