ONI Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday laid foundation stones of several developmental projects and schemes in Balasore district.
The CM laid foundation stones for a rural water project, a rural road and a bridge to be built under the Biju Setu Yojana.
While, the bridge is to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crores, the rural water project will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 2 crores and 3-km-long rural road to be constructed that will connect Markona to Aupada and Bhatapada to Baunripada.
Earlier on Wednesday, the CM reviewed implementation of development & welfare programs in the districts including major drinking water supply projects on rivers Budhabalanga and Subarnarekha are being taken up to tackle salinity problem in Bhogarai, Balaipal, Jaleswar, Bahanaga, Soro and Balasore Sadar blocks of Balasore district.
