Odisha, on Wednesday, issued advisory for steps to be implemented post COVID-19. This comes after the state reported many post-COVID complications among patients.
As per the advisory,
- The first follow-up of the patient will take place seven days after discharge
- Patient will undergo a follow-up physical check-up in the fourth week. Chest X-ray will be conducted, if required.
- In the 12th week, a thorough check-up including chest X-ray, pulmonary function test, measurement of oxygen saturation and echocardiography
After recovery from COVID, many patients have reported signs if fatigue, cough and impaired cognitive function.
