Odisha Maoist Leader Sabyasachi Panda admitted to Hospital

Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur on Tuesday after his health condition deteriorated during his fast in circle jail.

47 year old Sabyasachi had been on an indefinite hunger strike from July 16 demanding to be apprised of the number of cases pending against him and speedy trial of his cases.

As the jail authorities were not able to feed the maoist leader, his health condition deteriorated on Tuesday following which he was rushed to the hospital. According to doctors, water content and blood pressure in Sabyasachi’s body have declined.

The founder leader of Odisha Maobadi Party (OMP) had launched hunger strike for the third time in the jail since his arrest on 18th July, 2014.
