Odisha Teachers seek abolition of Block Grant System

Thousands of teachers took part in a rally from Lower PMG square to railway station in Bhubaneswar,  demanding abolition of the block grant provision.

The convener of STFO, Prakash Mohanty said around 167 schools, 87 ME schools whose teachers are not getting full aid. Therefore, teachers have been demanding salary as per grant-in-aid policy instead of block grant mode.

They had observed August 16 as ‘Dabi Dibasa’ (Demand Day).
