Odisha to supply Bauxite to Vedanta’s Lanjigarh Refinery

Odisha Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick has said that the government has decided to provide bauxite to Vedanta’s Lanjigarh alumina factory from the Kodingamali mines in Koraput through Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).

Minister Mallick said, “OMC has got the mining lease of Kodingamali mines located in Koraput and bauxite will be provided to Vedanta from the mines once production starts.”

Earlier, Vedanta has been running its refinery at Lanjigarh by importing bauxite from other states like Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
