Renowned Odisha Art Director Budha Maharana passes away

Veteranart director Budha Maharana passed away at the District Headquarters Hospital in Puri on Tuesday.  He was 64. The artist was hospitalised for 8 months following a brain stroke.

From Kanaklata to Thukul, Maharana has designed as many as 200 film sets. The art director  has been appreciated for his impressive replicas of Jagannath temple for the film Jayadeva.

Maharana hailed from a servitor family of Lord Jagannath in Puri.
