While condemning the act of terror in strong words, which claimed the lives of 12 people, including the Editor of Charlie Hebdo, 4 top cartoonists and 5 other journalists, he expressed deep anguish over the loss of innocent lives.
Pattnaik created 8-ft high sand sculpture showing some faces of victims on newspaper and wrote, ‘Je suis Charlie’, which means ‘I am Charlie’ in French. He used 5 tons of sand to create this sculpture. He also paid tribute to the victims and expressed heartfelt condolences to their family members. We must believe in peace and harmony, he said.
