Satyabadi Baliarsingh receives Ranpur Sammaan

Eminent Historian and Educationist, Satyabadi Baliarsingh has been bestowed with ‘Ranpur Sammaan’ on the eve of Ranpur Mahotsav. Held at BC High School Playground, Minister of Cooperation and Excise Dr. Damodar Raut, and Renowned Hockey player and Rajya Sabha MP Dilip Tirkey felicitated him with a citation and a memento.

Historian Mr. Baliarsingh has written a number of books like Sahid Raghu-Dibakar, Ranpur Bidroh, Ranpur Itihas about the freedom movement of Ranpur Gadjat, hanging of Martyr Raghu-Dibakar, history of Ranpur dynasty, the second-old Rathyatra after Puri.

Born to a family of Martyr Dibakar Parida, Mr. Baliarsingh is also a freelance journalist and social worker. He has been associated with various newspapers and magazines as a freelance journalist and contributed issue-based news and features about Ranpur in the last four decades.
