Severe Heatwave Warning issued in Coastal Odisha for 3/4 Days

Bhubaneswar on Thursday sizzled with a temperature of 44.2 degree Celsius by 1 PM.  Around 17 other places recorded above 40 degrees. Other towns as Titlagarh, Sonepur, Bhawanipatna, Talcher and Bolangir are recorded over 40 degrees.

Special Relief Commissioner said that the Severe Heat wave Warning issued in Coastal Odisha. The temperatures are likely to remain high for 3/4 Days.

The state government received reports of deaths of 112 people due to sunstroke, the special relief commissioner’s office said.

More water tankers and plastic water tanks have been engaged both in rural and urban areas to meet the water requirements.
