Six killed, 20 injured in Bhuban Bus mishap

Six people died and over 20 injured as a moving bus came into contact with 11KV live wire at Bhuban in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday. The bus was on its way to Kamakshyanagar from Jajpur.

The injured have been shifted to Bhuban and Dhenkanal hospitals for treatment. Three critically injured were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to kin of deceased in this regard.

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) will also provide Rs 5 lakh each to victims’ families.
