“The SIT will prepare a detailed report on the incident. The rifles used by the security forces need to undergo a forensic test. After such a test only, it will be clear which side the firing has occured,” Pratap said.
This test is needed because the SOG jawans has been claiming that the six persons including a child died in the firing by Maoists.
Besides this, NCST team said, the victims’ families have alleged that the six died due to firing by SOG jawans and not due to cross firing as claimed by the Odisha Police.
ADGP Mahendra Pratap said, the SIT members will meet the family members of the victims, the injured persons and also interrogate the jawans who were involved in the incident.
