Three Maoists surrender before Police in Malkangiri

Malkangiri, Aug 5: Three Maoists surrendered before police on Tuesday in Malkangiri district alleging their leaders of exploiting tribal people. The Maoists left the red rebel’s wing and joined the main stream by surrendering before police officials.

The three surrendered Maoists were identified as Sina Madhi alias Dula (24), Arun Kumar Madhi alias Era (35) and Irma Madkami (20), told superintendent of police Mitrabhanu Mohapatra to media persons here.

Mohapatra said that Dula and Era, each carried Rs 1 lakh reward on their head. He added that as per the surrendered Maoists their group have been deviated from the main ideology and started exploiting tribal people in the district.  The trio naxals were highly active in the regions of Kalimela, Padia and other areas in the district, he added.
