Under Trial Prisoner dies at Jharpada Jail in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Dec 1: An under trial prisoner was died under suspicious circumstances at Jharpada circle jail on Tuesday here. Blaming the jail authorities for the death of the under trail prisoner, family members of the deceased and inmates of the jail protested there.

As per reports, the deceased has been identified as Benudhar Jena, who was lodged in jail since 2011 in a murder case. His family said that Benudhar had been suffering chest pain for last 15 days. They alleged the jail authorities of not allowing them to take Benudhar outside for treatment. However, treatment was given to the prisoner inside the jail, but that could not save his life, alleged his family members. Police rushed to the spot and seized body for postmortem.
