Youth Leader Sankar Prasad Duria joins BJD

Sankar Prasad Duria, youth leader from Rayagada joined Biju Janta Dal (BJD) in Sunabeda during the visit of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday. He officially joined BJD in a meeting with his supporters.

In a press release, Duria alleged the Congress party of neglecting Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe community of Odisha. He resigned from the Congress party primary membership and sent his resignation to Party Chief Sonia Gandhi, he stated.

The leader said that he is impressed with the transparent image, able and dynamic leadership of Naveen Patnaik. Duria has been fighting for the rights of Jhodia, Kotia, Dhulia and ST, SC communities in Koraput district. He has been bee raising voice for the displaced people of Damanjodi and NALCO land affected people.

BJD leaders – Pranab Prakash Das, Jhina Hikaka, Jayaram Pangi, Rabi Narayan Nanda, Prafulla Pangi, Eshwar Chandra Panigrahi and Upendra Majhi, were present on the occasion.
