Rio Olympics 2016: Dipa Karmakar qualifies for Women’s Vault Final

Dipa Karmakar is the first Indian who have qualified for apparatus final of artistic gymnastics event in Olympics.

India created history with gymnast Dipa, when she has reached for the final round of the Individual vault finals.

Karmakar qualified for the final after she averaged 14.850 in two vaults.

Dipa Karmakar is from Agartala, Tripura who represents India at the International circuit. Notably, she won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
