Delhi heading for Record Polling, 36% by 1 PM

Delhi-Polls1It seems that Delhi is heading towards a record polling, which may cross 70% when the voting ends at 6 PM today. By 1 PM, the polling was recorded at 36%, as per the Delhi Election Commission. The BJP has gone aggressive to convince the voters to come out and vote for the party in all areas of Delhi. AAP is also trying hard to reach out to its own voters.

Meanwhile, BJP candidate from New Delhi, Nupur Sharma, has alleged that she and her sister were harassed by some AAP cadres at around 12 PM. However, AAP rubbished the allegations and termed it as a BJP conspiracy. Even, Shazia Ilmi too levelled similar allegations.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has taken strong exceptions to BJP’s CM candidate Kiran Bedi’s marathon tour of polling booths and meeting with the voters. The party has lodged a complaint with the EC, terming it as a violation of Model Code of Conduct. Kiran Bedi was seen riding the roof of the car to address the cadres and then running on the street while talking with the voters.
