KIIT University, Bhubaneswar was awarded “Best Technological University in Eastern India” during the Third CCI Technology Education Excellence Awards 2015 hosted by Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmadabad on 17th July 2015. The award was received by Prof. P. P. Mathur, Vice Chancellor, KIIT University from Prof (Dr.) Akshai Agrawal, VC, GTU at a glittering ceremony in Gujarat Technological University. During the event, CMAI Association of India declared CCI Technology Education Excellence Awards 2015 to various universities for their excellence in different areas.
Many eminent educationists and personalities including H.E. Mr. Amb Sola Enikanolaiye, Ag High Commissioner-Nigeria Embassy; H.E. Mr. Bothata Tsikoane, High Commissioner of Lesotho to India; H.E. Mr Chung Kwang Tien, Ambassador, Taiwan Embassy; H.E. Mr. Jorge Cardenas Robles, Ambassador of Bolivia to India; Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Goyal, President, CMAI Association of India; and Mr. Shailesh Patwari, Consortium of Co-Chairpersons-Industry GTU Innovation Sankuls graced the occasion.
Mr. Jamal Abdulla Alhaj Mothana, Charge D’ Affaires, Al-Yemen Embassy; Ms. Saroja Sirisena, Consul General, Sri Lankan Consulate General; Mr. Mucyo Rutishisha, Counsellor-Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda; Mr. Mwitumwa Namunda Lubinda, Consular Affairs-Zambia Embassy; Ms. Moumita Bhattacharya, British Council of India; Mr. K H Patel, Former Indian High Commissioner to Uganda and Ambassador to Rwanda and Burundi & Member-BOA Committee-GCSR-GTU and Dr. Marco from South Africa were also present at the presentation ceremony.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said, it is a matter of pride not only for KIIT, for also for Odisha. One can touch the entire world through education, he said, adding that high quality of education in KIIT University has given a special identity of Odisha in Eastern Indian as well as in globe.
