DPE organises Training Session on Office Automation

Bhubaneswar, Oct 10: A Training Progamme was conducted by the Deptt. of Public Enterprises for the Officers of  different  State PSUs on the maintenance and handling of Computers as a first step for the Office automation of the State PSUs in IDCOL Auditorium here.

The Commissioner-cum-Secretary, DPE welcomed the participants, attended from different State PSUs and expressed his intention to develop the Office Automation System by utilising the existing computer system/personnel available in the  Corporations. He has expressed that the workshop will develop the basic concept on Computer Fundamentals and working knowledge of the PSU Employees.  The work sphere the PSUs will be encouraging and lively thereby sprouting interest in their mind. The PSUs will witness all round progress in every sphere.

Sri Swarup Ranjan Mohapatra, OPEPA & Sri Santanu Kumar Mohapatra, CMGI attended the Training as Recourse persons.  Both have presented the Fundamentals regarding Computer Hardware and Software in the workshop in an interactive manner with the participants.  About eighty participants from different PSUs have attended the training which will be immensely helpful in achieving the Office Automation System of the State PSUs.  This training is also a part of the capacity building programme for the employees of the State PSUs, which is also   the present mandate of the Department.
